Lobby Undergoes Another Change

One day in November, 2012, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Chongryu Health Complex, which was nearing its completion. Looking with delight at the lobby furnished with couches around the flower bed full of various kinds of flowers on the first floor, he expressed great satisfaction over the tasteful flower bed. The officials were excited over the fact that another wonderful rest place was born thanks to his ardent love for the people, when he happened to look round the lobby once again and suddenly wore a look of discontent across his face. After a short while, he pointed out the need to replace the carpet laid on the floor with parquet, offering red sandalwood blocks. He said that the woodblock covering would make a great change to the circular rest place. This is how the love of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, who spares nothing for the people, brought about another change to the appearance of the lobby.

Against Even a Small Bit of Inconvenience

One day several decades ago, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited a small branch of a general shop. After learning in detail about commodity supply from the shop assistant, the Chairman asked her whether they always had sundry goods in stock. The shop assistant replied that every item is always provided well for sale. As she said, the display racks were packed with dozens of various sundry goods. Looking closely at the miscellaneous goods of various sizes, shapes and colors, the Chairman said that he could not find needles. The shop assistant looked over the department and hung down her head for shame. She was unaware that the needles had sold out. Feeling sorry about it, the Chairman instructed that although a needle is a miscellaneous item, it is indispensable for people’s daily life and that if we do not pay attention to such small items, it might cause inconvenience in people’s life. The shop assistant was deeply moved. In the past, a lot of officials had visited the shop but no one had ever been concerned for such a small item as a needle. It was only the Chairman who was so solicitous about the absence of needles, fathoming the people’s inconvenience that it might cause.

“God of Love” is Found in DPR Korea

“True love for humans is a practical one. In order to find the true benefactor of such love, I have read through the biographies of famous people including historical personages and well-known politicians. However, the “God of love” turns out to be a vision which will never ever exist forever in the world.” This is a conclusion a prominent ethicist in Latin America in the mid-twentieth century drew summarizing his lifelong studies. An ethicist’s conclusion – the “God of love” is none other than a vision – can it be really true? Who found an answer to this question was the general director of a publishing house in Ecuador. He had visited the DPRK many times and had heard a lot of stories about the noble popular traits of Chairman Kim Jong Il while staying for as long as more than 250 days. One year when he visited our country, he happened to hear about the benevolent affection shown by the Chairman for the resuscitation of an ordinary worker who had fallen into a critical state from an unexpected accident. The Chairman saw to it that a helicopter flew for the life of the patient, and when he knew it had to make a landing en route due to an unfavorable weather condition, he promptly sent a jumbo which was not subject to any weather conditions. Consequently, the worker on the verge of death could regain consciousness at last and recuperate from the injury. That was indeed a story of human love, a legendary story. The director was deeply impressed. He could not believe it. He thought this story deserved to be called a legend of love, which can be found in a myth only. He expressed his impression in his mind like this. The “God of love” is no longer a vision, but is found in the DPR Korea.

However Valuable

One day in May, 2009, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Komdok Mining Complex. Learning about the situation of the complex, the Chairman was very pleased over the fact that they were producing plenty of maize, beans, vegetables and meat to supply to the miners. His particular satisfaction was at the miners’ living hall of the Kumkol Mine. After looking round the bath house and the sauna, he headed towards the dining hall for innovators, where he was smiling at various kinds of dishes on the table. One of the officials told him with pride about the success achieved in the supply service. Highly appreciating their success, the Chairman affirmed that the miners would be really glad about it. He continued that however valuable the buried treasures were, they could never be bartered for the health of the working class, the treasures of the Party and revolution.

Photo Session of That Day

One day in February, 2017, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was inspecting several pieces of equipment newly developed by the scientists and technicians at the State Academy of Sciences. Learning in detail about the specifications of a piece of equipment essential for the living of the people and the soldiers of the Korean People’s Army, he highly praised the scientists and technicians for inventing it better in all aspects than an imported one. Looking round all the equipment once again with friendly eyes, he instructed the officials that the equipment on display should be installed altogether in a certain place for test operation. Then, he said with conviction that when the people benefit from them, they would have dignity and pride in everything of our own. As the equipment was a precious creation symbolic of the dignity and pride in our own things, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was so pleased that he highly praised the scientists and technicians and had a photo session with them.

Reducing 3 Years to 1

One day when the building of regular armed forces was under way with vigor, President Kim Il Sung visited in person the Central Security Officers School. There was a good reason why he visited it before all urgent affairs. At that time, some people asserted that as it took at least 3 years to train military cadres in other countries, it was natural for our country to follow the precedent examples. That was why he managed to find time to rectify their wrong views. That day, having heard different opinions of the teaching staff, he said that we should set the period of military education in keeping with the actual conditions as our country had just been liberated. He added that we should not follow the leisurely examples of 3 or 4 years in other countries, but reduce the training period to 1 year so that we could train military cadres at the earliest date who were urgently needed for the building of regular revolutionary armed forces as required by the prevailing situation. Under the scrupulous guidance of the President, the sons and daughters of common workers and peasants were able to grow up to be fine military commanders in a short span of time.
