It was one October day in 2012. The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un met with officials and gave them important instructions on the education of the country. He told the officials that they should take good care of teachers as they are career revolutionaries who bring up rising generations. Some hours of lectures by teachers do not produce anything there and then, but education is the most valuable undertaking for raising the future of the country and revolution, he said. He then said to the officials filled with deep emotion that the organizations of the Workers’ Party of Korea should pay due attention to the living of teachers and earnestly called on them to think about the teachers’ living first whenever they come to get anything and provide them with it.
