Head of lab, Jang Ki Ho and other researchers at Faculty of Heat Engineering have developed a high-voltage water heater of 1~3MW. The advantages of this over the conventional electric heating boiler and the boilers that use heavy oil, gas or coal include less consumption of electric power, less amount of space for installation, less initial investment and environmental friendliness.
In particular, this heater serves as a major means to relieve the load shake in the generation of electricity by renewable energy.

Department head Kim Thae Song, lecturer Kim Myong Jun and their colleagues at Faculty of Information science and technology have developed a colour-mixing software for animation which enables the conformity of brightness, contrast, hue etc. of different types of video recorders and different time of filming. At the end of a year-long research, they succeeded in developing “Animation Coloring Software” of our own style, which has combined dozens of coloring functions including adjustment of colour range and hue, thus making a great contribution to the modernization of TV broadcast.

A research team of Ri Su Chol, a head of Department of Faculty of Information Science and Technology was making a success in the research for realizing bio-cryptography system by means of fingerprints, a security system for managing safely licenses of users as well as fingerprints information and encryption keys on the basis of fingerprints information.
By doing so, they were able to resolve the problems of bio-information being stolen and used for attacking in bio-authentication system and have been making an effort to develop more efficient security means by combining organically data encryption with bio-authentication.

A research team including Pak Chan Il, a head of lab of IT Institute and Ri Song Jun, a researcher developed the information service program of forest resources management that can make a contribution to restoration of forests and were building up its success.
This program makes it possible to restore forests in a scientific and planned way by mapping the damage of forests in real time owing to mountain fire, natural disaster and harmful insects and worms.

The 35th Sci-Tech Festival of Kim Chaek University of Technology was held in the University Indoor Stadium from February 4 to 7, Juche109(2020).
Into this festival, which draws some teachers, researchers, postgraduates and students, more than 80 educational and scientific achievements which were made in the struggle to develop our university into the most prestigious one in the near few years and 280-odd valuable scientific research successes achieved in our university last year including techniques of making mineral probing up-to-date and comprehensive and combustion stabilization by the combustion control of the pulverized coal boiler.
The festival was held, divided into 11 sub-fields of educational science, IT, metallic material, electro-automation and products of cutting-edge science and technology in the form of presenting, exhibiting and exchanging the successes.
In this festival, 118 and other techniques of Choe Pyong Min, a vice-dean of Faculty of Resources Probing Engineering who entered the "Making mineral exploration up-to-date and comprehensive" were highly appreciated.

Mr. Kim Thae Song, head of department, Mr. Kim Myong Jun, Mr. Kim Tae Song and Mr. Kim Il U, teachers of Information Science and Technology Faculty, analyzed the inspection results about beta version [Movie Toning Manage Program 1.0] and decided the final design line of the program [Movie Toning Manage Program 2.0]
Researcher Jang Tae Il and members of the research team in Nano Physics Engineering Institute made enough quantity of anode catalyzer and cathode one and synthesized treatment solution of anode diffusive layer and cathode diffusive and executed ion exchange film surface treatment and activation treatment so they guaranteed the completion of the manufacturing the 50L/h hydrogen generator.
With Mr Rim Jong Ho, head of department of Biological Medicine Engineering Faculty, the research team made a great success contributes to localization of the medical equipment’s production by successful developing mobile inductive electromyography measurement system which means a great deal in the diagnoses and treatment of various sorts of nerve disturbance patients and verification of efficiency of various kinds of medical equipment.
Mr. Kim Chol Man, a head of laboratory in Resource Probing Engineering Faculty, together researchers, designed and made up new sort of Resistivity/Polarizability CT Prospector and proved its accuracy and stability.
Mr. Pyon Chol Ung, head of Information Communication Institute, and researchers made successes making it possible to realize underground communication between places thousands meters away from, using electric car wires by designing and simulating high sensitive receiver circuits in a new form.
In addition, university instructors and researchers, who realized their duty in the work that science and technology should be a beacon light that illuminates the path ahead and take the lead in the development, are planning and promoting research projects aim to promote production and technology progress and to increase intellectual creative power.
